Fuel pump?

I think my fuel pump went. The reason is because it wont really run unless i'm giving it gas. I put it in about 3 years ago but never drove it oin the winter. Does anyone know how to tell if it's the fuel pump or not? Thanks

Re: Fuel pump?

You have a shradder(sp) valve on the fuel rail at the rea passanger side. Get a fuel pressure tester, take off the cap to the shradder valve, screw in the pressure tester, then turn on the key.

Re: Fuel pump?

Checking your fuel pressure will tell you whether your fuel system is working properly. You don't want to replace your fuel pump if it's working properly.
