can I remove ac from my camaro?

I have a 1995 camaro z28 I am rebuild the motor ac is no good and I want to do away with the ac compresser just dont know please help?


P.S I am going to put a cam in the lt1 how big can I go with out change chip,computer it is a 6 speed car?

You can get an A/C delete pulley and remove the entire system. Email CompCams about your cam question.

Installing a more aggressive cam without a custom flash tune (no chip in your 95) is a waste of money. You can pick up 10-15HP with a tune on a stock cam/stock engine. Install a cam without tuning it, and you leave HP on the table and will probably have drivability issues.

If you meant to ask about the AC delete pulley, yes, this is the pulley that was used in place of the AC compressor, on the 1LE models that did not have AC. You can get them from several sources, but a GM part is going to be more reliable. Shoebox has the part # on his website:
