Question 93Z Blower Motor Question

A couple days ago my blower motor stopped working, somewhat intermittently. Basically it doesn't blow at all, but if I go over a hard bump, or smack the dashboard on the far left of the passenger dash section (just right of the downward curve over the radio/AC controls), it will come on for a couple seconds. I have no experience with the blower motor going out, so I was wondering whether this sounds like the motor is actually going out, and jarring it is able to knock it back in for a brief time, or could this just be a wiring connector that's loose? I'd like to have an idea of it before tearing the dash apart to check it so I don't have to stop and go buy a blower motor after it's disassembled.

Also, does anyone know of a guide anywhere on accessing the motor? I looked on Shoebox's site and couldn't find anything there. I know it's located right under that part of the dash, but I can't recall if I've ever had access to it in the numerous time's I've torn the dash apart before (which sadly is more often than a person ever should on a single car. )

Might want to download a free copy of the 1993 factory service manual.

Re: 93Z Blower Motor Question

The blower motor is real easy to get to under the RH side of the dash.
