85 Camaro with 350 engine swp fouling plugs

Car started up fine, set the ignition timing, turned it off then went to start it and checked the plugs and they were fouled. I had just installed them this afternoon. Im using the stock carb off the 305 if that makes a different, any ideas on what I should check tomorrow?

Is your 350 engine a Gen 1 SBC (e.g. L98) or a Gen 2 LT1? Sounds like it's a carbed Gen 1. If that's the case I'll move your post to the correct forum. Right now you are in the LT1 forum.

Not a lot of 3rd Gen owners here any more. Let's see if we can find you some help in the "General 67-02 F-Body Tech" forum.

Re: 85 Camaro with 350 engine swp fouling plugs

Engine is recently rebuilt or what?

If a bunch miles on engine valve guide/seals used to get my plugs on my 81 305

I was poor could not afford to repair so I would carry a couple of new plugs with plug wrench in the trunk and after a longer run (3+ hours) when we would stop to gas up I would automatically change the plug as it would always foul the back passenger one.
