Question What size hosing to run with my new fuel setup?

I just recently bought a Aeromotive A1000 -10an fuel pump, Aeromotive -10an 100 micron fuel filter, and a Aeromotive -10an bypass fuel pressure regulator. What size hose should I use for this setup? I don't plan on ever being over 550rwhp... What other tips do you guys have for installing this system? Thanks.

I support an 800HP (W/ dry nitrous) setup on a -6AN supply line and a -6AN return line. Dual 205LPH Bosch pumps. Injectors are 78#/HR @ 58psi. The only thing I have done is "split" the rails by splitting the supply line at the back of the engine and feeding a -6AN line into the rear of each rail, with the -6AN return line tapped off the diagonal cross-over pipe at the front of the rails.

I have no idea how true any of this theory is....But I was told( when setting up a car to run in a stock class) to run a -10 supply and -6 return...the larger line keeps the fuel cooler and the pump runs cooler with less of a strain....

I followed it, but again it is only a theory that I was told to go by......I have not tested it any other way

Ok so -10AN hose would be about 5/8", -6AN would be about 3/8", etc? So a 3/8" line should be plenty for 600whp?

depends on who you ask.....You will need alot of press and a pump that can keep up.

You always want a large suction line for an external fuel pump - that prevents net positive suction head problems, and vaporizing the fuel in the suction line. The discharge does not necessarily benefit from being "oversize". Another "theory" correctly points out that on a hard launch which can pull 1-2G's for a brief period, the mass of fuel in the supply line will be pressing back against the pump discharge, and reduce the discharge pressure at exactly the point in time when you want maximum system capacity. Using a smaller line reduces the mass of fuel in the line.

I run a single 205LPH pump for NA, only using the second pump when the nitrous system is armed. The 205LPH Bosch has no problem supplying a steady 58psi at 500HP NA, and the dual pumps maintain a steady pressure at 800HP with the spray.

With this system and my 36# injectors. I should still leave it at the 43psi correct?
