The entire sending unit is different.

The LS1 fuel pump unit has an internal bypass pressure regulator, sends the fuel at 58 PSI to dead-ended fuel rails with no return flow, and no vacuum compensation.

LT1 sending unit simply sends unregulated pressure fuel to recirculated rails, a vacuum compensated fuel pressure on the return line, maintaining 43.5 PSI at the rails, minus intake manifold vacuum.
