Question need help with possible ground problem ?

i installed a stroked 396 in my 95 t/a . soon after the install my msd digital 6 went out and my new stereo head unit. i installed another head unit and it worked until i let the car sit for a week. i went to start it and the battery was dead and tested bad. i replaced the battery and the car runs fine after removing the msd box. but i still have some sort of issue and the only thing i can think of is a grounding problem. anyone run into a problem like this ? the block was painted and im sure i made sure the paint was scraped off where the grounds bolt on the passenger side of the engine . there is a little black wire by the starter that i could not find where it bolts to and need to know where it goes and if that wire could be at fault. i thought it was because i used a 4 bolt corvette block but could be wrong. thanks for any help and insite.

Your problems are not caused by a 4-bolt block.... they are no different than the 2-bolt blocks, other than the extra bolts and main caps - same casting. That isn't going to cause electrical problems.

Have you checked Shoebox's website, which has the wiring diagrams for the 95's, harness photographs, etc?
