I'm stumped.... no fuel pressure.

To start, I JUST replaced the fuel pump a little over a month ago and the tank is full....

This started Saturday morning before Rim of the World - The car cranks fine but wont fire. First thought (since I've had issues with this in the past) check the battery and it's connections. Connections are fine and battery is holding a charge. As far as I can tell everything electrical is good. Next thought - a pressure gauge tester to the schader valve on the back of the fuel rail - got NO reading. The needle didnt even want to move. So I traced the fuel lines. Started front to back - disconnected the lines from the rails, nothing. so moving back - took them from the fuel filter... fuel was there. In fact, the line from the tank to the filter wouldnt stop spilling (I thought it would stop but didnt) so I put the line back in and when ahead and replaced the filter. The fuel pump (which I got from TRE perfromance on Ebay) sounds like it's working (that hum comes on when the key is turned) but she wont fire and I'm still readin no fuel pressure at all.

Could the "new" fuel pump be dead? Or what else could it be? I'm stuck....

Does your test gauge connector depress the core pin in the Schrader valve? If not, you need to remove the core to check the pressure.

Yes it does. I concidered that the guage might not be working so i hooked it up to my mom's van just to see - got a reading there... besides, if there was pressure in the camaro when i disconnected the fuel lines from the back of the intake I shoul dhave spilled at least a few drops... I got nothing.

Mean Z28 - Just wondering, I'm having the same problem. Did you solve the problem?
