fuel pump voltage

fuel pump voltage

Has anyone ever check voltage at there fuel pump? I have 12.5 volts. is that enough.

Yep...you should have battery voltage...or close to it....as you will loose a minor amount (about a half a volt) due to the natural resistance of wire.

You should also check it with a test light, this puts a load on the system.....I've dirty connections have 12 volt at the connector but not have enough current to spin the pump or light it up.

Thanks for the info, I have a new setup from rock valley and i cant get but 10psi out of it. Just wanted to check everything before i called them.
