Welcome to CamaroZ28.com !!!!

You need to fill us in on the basic info about your car - year, model, engine, tranny and any major mods. That helps us provide accurate answers.

When the fuel pump is run dry, it can be damaged, by excessive heat or lack of lubrication from the fuel. Doesn't hurt the electical circuit or the relay. Seldom blows the fuse.

On certain models, you can check the fuel pump by connecting 12V to the "fuel pump prime connector", bypassing the computer fuel permits and the relay. That will tell you if the pump will run. You should verify with a fuel pressure gauge as well. Tell us about your car, and we can probably tell you where all these features are located.
