i bought a 89 rs with a 305 that the previous owner had switched over to carb but he lost interest in the middle of the conversion. it sat for a year before i got it. i put a new mechanical fuel pump on it and an edelbrock 600 cfm carb and I deleted the pump in the tank. my question is is it possible that i am not getting enuff fuel pressure or to much maybe? it runs good until it heats up then acts like its not getting fuel it has new filters in the tank and before the carb i never switched one over to carb before so am i missing somthing? any help would be appreciated thanks tim.

 

Check how much pressure your getting with a gauge.
