96 z28 Runs for 3 seconds then dies
So today I went out and my Camero, it ran for three seconds then quit. Did that several times then quit. Replaced the fuel filter and while i had it off I checked the output on the pump. When I turned the key gas gushed out of the line for a few seconds then stopped. Put the filter back on, started and after three seconds it would die. I can start it again right away without cycling the key but it will die in a couple of seconds again. But if I mess around with the accelerator after starting it it will run as long as i keep adjusting the throttle position. As soon as I stop adjusting the throttle and hold it still no matter what rpm it is at it will die.

In your other post, you mentioned it will start if you put the accel pedal on the floor. Did you see my response to that post?

Re: 96 z28 Runs for 3 seconds then dies
Sorry, I did not think this posted.... which is why there is another post similar to this one two days later, sorry but i am still learning my way around here. Yes I did see your comment and you were correct about that issue being realted to the engine reading cold all the time. That sensor is bad. This is something that started about 30 minutes after you sent the reply to the other post.
I have done alot of reading through other posts and have decided it would be in my best interst to get a code scanner/comptuer and I saw mention of an acutron cp9145 would that be a good scanner to get for a 96 lt1? I thank you in advance when I see all the posts you have done it appears you have helped ALOT of people, and through their posts I have learned alot.
