97 Z28, just pulled fuel pump, loose hose?

Hey guys, I thought I had a bad fuel pump so I just ordered a new kit from Racetronix. last night, I pulled my pump to get ready for the new one, but when I pulled the pump from the tank, I noticed one of the 2 rubber hoses that comes from the pump housing was just laying loose. Anyone know if this is just a vent, or it actually goes somewhere. Im still installing the new pump, but Im wondering if this was my low pressure cause?
Thanks,
Danny

I was wondering the same thing myself because I just bought a used pump from someone here on the forum, it's just a used stock one off another Z same year as mine but of the hoses on it was exactly as you described it. It looks like it should go somewhere but then again it doesn't really seem to have enough slack to be connected to anything.

There are four hoses that connect externally to the fuel pump support assembly - the fuel supply line (3/8" quick connect), the fuel return line (5/16" quick connect) and the line to the EVAP canisters pressure control assembly, and a vent hose that I think just lays on top of the tank.
