What are the benefits of running the MAF on pressure side?
What are the benefits of running the MAF on pressure side?
I have a 95 camaro with a 8 psi P1SC procharger with twin intercoolers. Can I have the surge valve vent to the atmo. if I relocate the maf? I am also having a problem with the elbow on the intake side collapsing under full boost. Does any body make a better hose for this, It is a 3.5 in hose with 45 deg. elbow.

Both these have been addressed many times in the past, I'll give you some answers but I search will yeild more answers. Yes you can vent to the atomsphere with a relocated maf, plus it helps the engine see the actual airflow into the motor. With it BOV venting out you do remove a small amount of heat from the intake charge. As for the colapsing elbow, do the search, My first though was take it to a plumbing shop and look for a PVC replacement but someone may be making a solid intake tube.

Here is a suggestion. If you want to get bigger thin wall pipe you can powder coat or have chromed go to a diesel shop (the kind that sells 18 wheelers) they us lots of thin wall pipe for there intake system from 3" up to I think 4" or 5" and a lot of different bends. You might not find a piece that is perfect but I was always able to find one if not perfect that I could cut to size. After either having it chromed or powder coated it looked very nice and was the size I needed.
Good Luck

Thats a good idea but I think the problem is that its 3.5 inch pipe and from what I remember its hard to find. A hard 3 inch pvc pipe might actually flow more. I still think someone custom fabs these.
