ys-trim

We switched from the G trim to YS trim because we wanted to run 8s. We made 647 rwhp with the 346, G trim and Venom nitrous.

What kind of times were you running with the G-trim/Venom setup? Dyno numbers mean little on the track. I saw Chris's car run @ So. Shootout last year and he should 8s in the bag this year.

ys-trim

We ran 10.30 at 133 mph in Vegas in November with the 346 in a 3600 lb. car. We have completely rebuilt the car this winter and have made too many mods to list here, but the major components are a 414 cid (Lunati, Manley, JE), YS-trim, Nitrous Express direct port injection, 4500 flash, TH-400, Dynatech, Bogarts, Comp, etc.

Are you reusing the G-trim bracket?

I don't think it will clear a stock Camaro or Camaro SS hood.

Did you get your head unit yet?

ys trim

No, we have mounted the unit on the passenger side on a custom bracket.

We bought the head unit from Vortech via Hawaii Racing.

"trim"

Go to http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/units/ to see the various units Vortech makes, each of which is a different "trim" using different components / sizes.

ys trim setup

Pro Stock John - I'll have to ask Peter about the cost of the bracket, but it's at least several hundred bucks.

We're installing an aftercooler in front of the radiator. The blower discharges at the passenger wheel well and the ducting routes the air counterclockwise thru the aftercooler, up and around to the manifold. We've more than offset the additional weight by installing Bogarts, light weight a-arms, k-members and a manual steering rack.
