Vortech Supercharger questions

First of all my dad bought a new Vortech V1 kit for his LT1 swap in his third gen at Summit for 1000. It was on the dump rack so it is missing a few pieces. One is the FMU and the other is the fuel pump. What I am wondering is that his car has a Walbro 255 in the tank already. Is this enough fuel pump for the kit or do I still need to add another external pump or upgrade to a Walbro 340? Also if it is enough pump could I just buy a 6:1 FMU or do I need to use the stock setup of 12:1. The car has the motor from my car and has a cam, some mild head work, 30 over pistons, Racetronics 36# injectors, and longtubes. Let me know.

The fuel pump you have should be enough. I'd use the stock FPR and have it tuned rather than use an FMU and would use 42# injectors.

x2- My car was a lot more consistent with FPR and 42# injectors than trying to rely on an FMU that seemed hit or miss- plus with adding an FMU it's just one more part that can go bad and ruin your day and your motor.

Not to mention driveability improved throughout the entire RPM range which is a very nice bonus.

+1, 255walboro is fine. No FMU and get 42lb and tune.
