It's not a matter of opinion! It's a matter of fact that a front mount turbo is more efficient and will produce more hp per psi boost than a rear mount. I will go head-to-head with anybody on this. Rear mount turbo's have their place, but they will NOT produce more power than front mount on similar combinations.

now there's a fair comparison...

ask those guys in the 6s how many seconds faster they are in the 1320 than your car is...

STS has their market... It's for people who want the power of a turbo, but are willing to give up some potential (efficiency) to not cramp their engine bay.

Horsepower TV did an STS twin turbo setup on a Corvette. Sweet! One point that was made is that what you loose in PSI (1-2) you gain in lower air temp. I know HP TV really sells the products they install, but it look like a really good setup.

Re: Rear mount turbo

what i dont understand is people that are talking about STS kits being cheaper then a standard kit like PTK? GTS76 PTK kit with Water/air intercooler will make up to 1000rwhp on race gas and iced intecooler and it cost the same as the STS kit with the same turbo.

And you believe them? That's what a REAL intercooler does on a front mount design. Have you ever read all the BS on STS' site? How about all the energy that the exhaust gas loses (to spin the turbine) as it cools off exponentially between the manifolds and the turbine at the rear of the car?

Re: Rear mount turbo

If I were to buy a manufactured kit, this is the order in which I'd buy:

1. PTS
2. TTi
3. STS

Congratulations. That's the dumbest thing I've heard all week.
