Question for Rich Krause.
Question for Rich Krause.
Rich, I have a 224/236 dur @ .050 .536/.555 lift w/1.6rr's 114lsa with +4 centerline. Lobe #3314 int. and #3316 exh.
The cam is new in the box. I'm now having doubts on whether or not to install the cam. I have a 355cid. You've recommended a similar cam with .567 int. lift and .583 exh lift with 1.5 rr's. I already have 1.6 rr's and don't want to spend more money replacing them. Can I order a custom grind 224/236 dur @ .050 .534/.550 lift w/ 1.5rr's which comes out to be .570 int and .586 exh lift with 1.6 rr's ground on a 114 or 115lsa with +4* centerline?
Would my custom grind make more power than the cam I already have.
Thanks

Re: Question for Rich Krause.
Justin: there's a lot of lobes out there. I haven't tried the new Comp XFI lobes, but they are looking pretty interesting. If you are looking for a cam in the range mentioned, you might look at #3105/3037 which has the same 224/236 duration at 0.050" and .573/571" lift with 1.6:1 rockers. I have not tried these, but they look promising.
