Well Vortech says keep it there because the air is routed back into the system.

im not sure it would be that noticable anyway. what you should do is unplug your maf like i posted before, vent it to the atmosphere and see if its loud enough for you to want to always vent it like that. then if you want to you can relocate your maf.

ive seen many guys do it and they say that the maf reads more accurately with it closer to the TB anyway. im just curious to know if the boost pressure will damage the elements in the maf over time.

The BOV vented to atmosphere is much much louder than the standard way. Car has always idled fine, never had any problems with the MAF at all. Been like that for over 5 years.

here is a pic of another members car who has relocated the maf....
You don't have to worry about boost damaging your maf. Debris will though.

There are also some pics in my sig with a relocated maf.
