Are you saying that you are using the P1SC bracket for the F1? The reason I ask is because from my understanding it does not fit. I was told the the D1SC bracket was the right bracket to use for an F1. Also how high are you spinning your blower?

yes, i am using the original p1sc brkt. with no modifications other than the 12 rib idler. in order to fit the f1 all i had to do was grind a little off a boss on the front corner of the block per rich krause's instructions and it fit like a glove. i'd have to do the math on the rpm's 3.40"blower and 7.65" crank pulleys shifting at 6500. rev. limiter set at 7k

Yeah I know all about grinding on the block. Good thing that the P1SC bracket will work. It seems like ATI tells everyone that the right bracket to use is the one for the D1SC. Also what kind of intercooler are you running with your setup? Are you running a solid intake pipe or are you running a open blower. Thanks in advance. Care to give the specs on your car.

I just calculated that you are spinning your blower 73,125. I would be extremely careful since you are overspinning your blower. The blower has a max impeller speed that should not exceed 70K rpm. Typically when you overspin your blower you run the chance of crashing your impeller into the housing.

i'm running the sheet metal race intercooler from ati and the dryer hose on the intake with a 1400cfm k&n. haven't had any issues yet but again i've had very little time. thanks for the info on the rpm's. been there done that with the d1 setup. i gave procharger the specs and they sized it for the f1 but were trying to get me to go with f1r. just looks like major revamp to get the r to fit. what rpm did the 73k come from?
thanks

The 73K blower speed was met when the engine was turning 6500 rpm. This is the way you calculate it:

(Crank Pulley Size/Blower pulley Size)*(Step Ratio of Blower)*Desired Engine RPM.

The step ratio for an F1 is 5.0.

I would recommend getting rid of the dryer hose and getting a solid piece made. I am sure at 21lbs of boost the hose is collapsing. I had issues with the dryer hose collapsing and was running 14lbs of boost.

It is hard to get pics of the actual blower because it is pretty hidden.

What part do you want to see? We will be putting mine together for the season soon and could get some pics. Won't be for a couple of weeks though. Once it's all in the car, like IDOXLR8 says it's hard to see.

Are you running an intercooler with your setup?

They are pretty hidden. Perhaps a pic from below and one from above from the drivers fender side or something would be nice. Just want to see how it is tucked in there and how the piping is setup. Thanks guys!
