Thumbs up

A few years back, here in Jersey, a guy named George Baxter was making over 1K hp w/ a Vortech supercharged 383 LT1 in a 97 SS Camero ragtop.
The article below was when it had "only" around 750 HP:

Yes, twin externally mounted Aeromotives in the current configuration. I had reached the limit of the single intank/stock lines and regulator at about the 700rwhp level. That was through an M6, the above graph is with a TH400 and a high stall converter - so it represents at least 1,000hp if it were measured at the engine. Figuring 20% loss, it would be ~1,025hp.

Its tough to make a 1000rwhp with a YSI ... 1000fwhp, perhaps. What was his combo (assuming it was different then the article).

Damn you made 700rwhp with a 255 and a boost a pump? What was your fuel pressure, and what injectors. I figured I was going to be limited to 500rwhp or so with mine.

It, along with George, ended up down here in Florida. He sold it to someone local about 5 years ago. Last I saw it (about 4 years ago), the new owner was trying to make it faster by swapping to a different cam and claiming all of George's victories with that car as his own.

I was there at Bradenton and watched George get his first 9 second pass. I actually came really close to buying the car from George, but decided to build my own instead.

I had 52lb "main" injectors plus 3x160lb'ers in a Superfueler type arrangement. FP was stock (stock regulator).

That car was out here in CA for a while too. The guy purchased the trailer and car.

I was going to mention him. I'm surprised Injuneer didn't mention him first...And get that Dominion headed monster completed, so the 32V mystery can be put to rest!!

I'm probably going to be running 83 or higher injectors, we'll see how far that little 255 can go
