Turbo install *nightmare* PTK / PTS LT1 front mount

***Since this original post I have made huge progress**
**-Pics and Detailed info will be posted as progress is made-**
**Look for major updates in this first post**

*All work is done by me Tad, @ haddadmotorsports*

Preliminary Dyno Numbers:
630RWTQ
511RWHP
@ 5500RPM @ 12 PSI easy on spark and AFR
brick walled on exhaust flow and grumpy ignition

Almost all the short comings and deign flaws have been worked out of the so called kit

9 out of 11 of the hot and cold pipes had to be modified, hammered, welded, cut, and or drilled.

Waste gate and BOV did not fit in any way what so ever!!!

Radiator had to be moved a half foot forward to get stock fan to squeak in the car

4 spark plugs would physically not go in the motor on the stand with the headers as delivered

headers leak now that everthing is installed the fat flange that I thought was all cool is warped as delivered!!!

No instructions, No techincal support, No returened phone calls, Incomplete parts, Poor design of boost managment & heat managment

oil feed and return system to the turbo as delivered is a joke

PCV was not addresse with kit in any way

-----------------------------------------------------------

OK I have here infront of me a full Pro Turbo Systems or Pro Turbo Kit LT1 Turbo kit

PTK does not have instructions for this kit!!!!

Who in thier right mind makes a turbo system w/o instructions or even pictures?:

I don't know, but you probably should just ship it to me
Have you checked their website to see if there are instructions posted?

Doe's anyone out ther have pictures to this thing installed?

esp... the hot side header to Y?
That's the same problem I'm having on my LT1 kit! I waited almost 1 FULL year to get my kit, and now the shop is having a hard time installing it because there are no instructions. PTK says they'll send an e-mail with some pictures, but they never come.

I was just about to post if anyone had instructions for the LT1, but did a search and found your post. I feel your pain.

No.... thats Joel's website. He used to work at GMR Speed before they closed the doors. His kits are talked about over on ls1tech... pretty hot topic. Top Quality kit... but the business aspects are slowing him down and the customers arent happy. Here is one example of a few:

Yes the situation is kinda funny.

But standing in front of all these pipes looking at a custom motor with a bulky canton kick out pan is not so funny. Not to mention there is no pipe identifcation sheet I 'm not sure if I have all the correct pipes or not!

snorkelface
I have thre hot side all mached up.

Looks like I'm gonna have to ding the headers in at spark plugs #s 8 & 5.

Also, the crossover Y p-pipe will need to be flattened at the driver side kick out. The feed pipe forward to the turbo if I'm doing this right might need some love too as it is very very close to the tubular K-member.

The hardware arrived for the fuel tank on Tue and the fuel tank is ready to go back in. The intake manifold and valve covers are installed and the serp is complete with clearanced alt. The motor is ready.

Next the motor goes on the K with trans,,,,
The battle after that will be the cold side piping.

I told the wife about that and she laughed too.

Thanks Tad, I appreciate it. I need to get that thing back as I'm over miles on my gas-mileage car lease and need something new to abuse for the next six months!
