FS Twin Turbo headers for LT1 or SBC--CHEAP
FS Twin Turbo headers for LT1 or SBC--CHEAP
Moderators...this is specific to FI, thats why im posting here...
Im selling my headers from my twin turbo project, they are 1 5/8 primary tubes with 3 inch collectors, Round port 1/2 in. thick mild steel flange will fit LT1 and standard gen I small block chevy. 3/8 in. T4 flanges, and 38mm wastegate flanges. 16 guage mild steel primaries and formed collectors
these will not work on a 4th gen without extensive modification to the upper core support, or at a minumum radiator relocation, they should fit any older larger car with standard SBC though, but i CANNOT garruntee fitment on any vehicle! see link in my sig for pictures of the headers on and off the car
Now, for the bad part, the inside of the collectors leak, and some of the primary tubes are leaking around the head flange, All the primaries are sealed and do not leak, the wastegate flanges do not leak, and the turbo flange weld does not leak. they WILL need to be welded up before they can be used, the leaks are easy to find as there is carbon build up around each leak. You can weld them and then use them on your project, or just use them as a jig, and copy the design for your own setup...plug access is tight, but is do-able. they will clear spark plug boots as well with plenty of clearence. they do not however clear the temp sensor plug on the driver side head...they clear the sensor, but there is no room to plug it in, i have been using the temp sensor in my water pump for this...
Im selling these for less than the cost of materials, $400 shipped! they cost me $450 to make!
Head flanges, $80
Turbo flanges, $80
Wastegate flanges, $50
Tubing and collectors, $240

Re: FS Twin Turbo headers for LT1 or SBC--CHEAP
it is custom, im working on getting a cad file for it and either laser cutting the peices to weld, or maybe cnc milling one from billit
Re: FS Twin Turbo headers for LT1 or SBC--CHEAP
I just want to get home first before i purchase these I have a 383 LT1 in a thirdgen camaro setup for Forced Induction in my car right now and I have tons of room enough to hide a small midget mechanic in my engine bay If you can trace that bracket onto a paper and send it to me with the manifold I am sure i can have one made up. I would like to get ahold of you on IM or phone sometime when i get back i have a few Questions about your setup I really hope you arent in a huge hurry to sell this because it will be about a week or so until i get home from Iraq.
If you really want to get one CNC from billet i know a few guys that work at Mallory billet and might be able to get a deal by buying a few at a time or I can have it done by a buddy of mine that works at metals tech on base
