As far as lean at idle, how much fuel did you add at idle? I added 25% on the initial startup tune and it put me right at 13.5:1 AFR. I'd add in some more fuel, your lowest settings on your maf are probably just too low.

25 degrees timing is fine at part throttle, wot tho I wouldn't run that much on a stock motor. I ran 16 degrees max(most say it's too low and to run 24-25 on pump) but honestly why chance it, especially with your stock pistons.

Lastly, be careful not to peg that maf, you can adjust the last cells in the table up to 512, but that is as high as you can go. 5lbs I'd think you would peg it though, 6lbs pegged mine and that was with stock heads/cam, but I am running a T76 vs your T67. Just watch it and make sure it doesn't max out.

Lastly, check out the tuning section on here, you might want to convert to a 2 bar map tune.
Lots of great info in the SD 2 bar map tune thread. I think I am going to give that a shot.

Question for you on tuning though. I added in 10% more fuel for idle. Idling between 14.5 and 15.0 now, I think I got lucky on my first try. Car is actually idling smoother now and not fluctuating, Im thinking I have always been lean at idle.

I am running an open loop tune so I did the fuel change in the "open loop temp vs. load" table. Is this the only place I can make fuel changes when in open loop? Does the VE tables have any effect when in open loop?

I am new to tuning. Ive had lt1_edit since 01, but I always let someone else do the tuning for me. I have a basic knowledge of what I need to do, im just not sure what table I need to use and what tables are used where like open loop vs closed loop.

Jon, Ill shoot you some pics right now!

I run completely open loop also and you can do the open loop afr vs load table in tunercat(sure it works the same in lt1edit) to make changes to the AFR.

I look again, Seems like the only table I saw was temp vs load.

The table was setup with about 10 rows of temp and then columns were map Kpa 20-100. This sound right or did I miss a table?

Thanks

What does it all entail going to a all open loop tune??? Since I am having problems with my spliced o2 after warm up, a cheaper solution would be to just ditch the stock narrowband junk all together and run open loop tuning off the wideband.

It looks like if I go to speed density and keep open loop the VE tables can also be used for fuel.

Yes you use the VE tables in open loop with no maf to adjust fuel.

To put it in open loop, easiest way is to change the coolant temp it drops into closed loop, just set it really high.

Talking about my oil feed for the turbo. I went to a local place called truck and trailer parts, they deal mostly with big rigs, I bought a length of line and the fittings there.
