You know what your problem is, you take this stuff to personally. Im laughing all the while posting this stuff. You need to lighten up a little. Its only the internet. If you guys actually showed up at a shootout, we'd all sit around and have a beer and trade a story or two.

We have no interest in ls1tech shootouts. It would be a waste of our time and money.

Let's just agree to confine our posts to the subject of the thread(s) and dispense with the personal attacks. OK?

Why would it be such a waste? Seriously?

There has been some ribbing between everyone and I agree it probably got a little serious over on the other board but most of the people are really nice when I go to these races. Ive been to many even some before ls1tech.com was around and its the same community of people. Everyone is really helpful and friendly.

Not only that, but you get a lot of people who are pioneering new things in our community. Its a learning experience. You should try it sometime.

My friends and I have read the posts at the other site and we can assure you that it definitely got out of hand and was anything but "good natured."

On the other hand, I agree that most of the people at your shootouts are probably nice, just as they are at this weekend's divisional race here at bandmere. However, even if could overlook your ongoing attacks on us and decided to go, I would have to convince my Dad to go, and that seems unlikely for the immediate future.

Why do you always have to make something out of nothing stealth2?

You seem to not get along.. You seem to have a persecution complex or something... No one is harrassing anyone.. everyone is just having fun... YOu do not have to come and insult anyone here... Some of your post should be MODERATED...

Lame...

I think that what you are trying to achieve is "under everything" and when you "under" everything it usually overxpenses everything...

You want to have a cuadratic hp or torque curve so you can stick on the street???? I guess the best route to do that is get a supra and/or use turbos and still you will have traction problems... With all the $ you are investing into "mismatched" parts you will have an engine that on paper should be a monster and on the street is a fast but still average car....

I guess the best solution to your problem is have the heads sized up properly.. have the cam selected properly and get a turbo with a very big A/R that will make gobs of power w/o putting boost so early or something... you will have an extremely laggy machine that will just break loose anyways with any tire...

THe other thing you might want to do is de-stroke your engine to "reduce" the torque and augment rpms so you can have a smoother transition??? Dont know.. this are just ideas.. but.. the mismatch you want to do is kind of difficult and you will end up re-doing it again...

x trim

This post is from "Dad", or stealth, but I will continue to use the stealth2 user name for now, because someone else uses "stealth."

I read this thread and it got out of hand just like one at the other site. My daughter contributed to that situation so I've taken her out of the game and put her on the bench while she cools off.

Let me try to bring some of these issues to closure so that we can get on with discussing Vortech superchargers:

Lame: Sorry for stepping on your thread. I would be glad to help you with your X trim project.

Highlander: She doesn't have a persecution complex, but she is sensitive about her car, because it is the fastest LS1 in Colorado (which means it's tuned for no barometer or oxygen!).

Flyin: I anticipate that you will continue to make fun of our car, and that's OK, so long as we can do the same to you.

Guido: I'm sure you are right about the people at the shootouts, but the closest one is 1000 miles from here. I am racing Quick 16 today in a Division 5 race at Bandimere. We race every two weeks and it will be very difficult to find time for a shootout, with the possible exception of the one in November.

Now that's just not true

While there's quite a bit of socializing and general info you might need to weed through (along with the mis-info), there's also a mass of specific information on this board and a great number of people that will help you find it. You've got to know which questions to ask, which answers to listen to, but that holds true, no matter who you talk to.

And Yep, for some subject matter, sure, there are better places to go for specific info. Sometimes people need to pickup a phone, or drive down to a physical location. The net shouldnt always be the first choice - but to say this board and other sites are only good for generalization and socializing... well, that aint right...

One thing is that we all have to learn... you seem to know your stuff.. but your daughter sometimes doesn't give the right answers or has a different or not quite so right perspective and sometimes that is the reason they "come on" to her, same as if I gave the wrong or incorrect answers. So if she can't handle that, then it doesn't mean that we are a bunch of whiners and/or losers. If I give the wrong advice, because I had the wrong info, i just shut up and read, search, ask and learn again...

One other thing is that no one got out of hand, at least on my point of view... Yes she probably is sensitive, my girlfriend also is... and as a matter of fact, so am I. But still i have to learn to differentiate between acceptable jokes...

Because someone asks her if she is single and looking doesn't give her the right to call them punks... Sorry but that is just unacceptable.. and I dont find that asking her out is harrassment...

Its nice to see a woman interested in these types of cars like we are, so expect "the connection" and/or the wish that a women likes our cars like we do... (Just not my case though)
