If you have money to blow, go with GMMG. Though, it's one of meanest exhaust systems i've ever heard, they're also expensive. Performance wise, not worth it. If you're on a budget like myself, go with a hooker catback. Flows good and is the best bang for the buck.

If that was meant to me - thanks, but I have already purchased the GMMG and just waiting to install it

If you're really interested in the Kooks, I honestly couldn't tell any difference in the ground clearance compared to the stock exhaust system. They probably tuck up tighter than any LT1 header on the market. Of course, I haven't looked at every header out there. Do you have emissions to take into consideration? LPP has some new stainless headers coming out that are pretty cheap. They appear to be clones of the Kooks, but I'm not sure what kind of ground clearance they might provide. If they are a Kooks clone, the clearance is probably similar.
I think I have the stock y-pipe really not sure yet I have the stock catback with a flowmaster muffler welded in. So I guess I just have to weld on a s-pipe to the I-pipe :P

And if I ever get longtubes it will probably be the LPP, they look really nice and its good price!

I just went from a flowmaster to the GMMG. I was told different when I bought it, but I would say the GMMG is a little louder. I do love the sound, and hopefully I can get a video of it this weekend. I have one of the flowmaster as well to compare it to. I am going to take it back to the same dyno I used last year for my tune just to see if I gained any horsepower. I doubt it is very much, but people always claim the flowmaster is down on horsepower compared to other exhausts.

Sweet, same as me from flowmaster to GMMG.

A video comparison would be really nice, lookin forward to the dyno results.

How much "louder" ? Is there a drone at highway speeds? Is it louder
mostly under heavy acceleration to WOT?

I didn't care for the sound of my flowmaster 80 series muffler in the catback system, but i love my single chamber flowmaster mufflers in my true duals. Here are some flowmaster & GMMG sound clips as requested:

Not a lot louder, but it was noticeable. I was expecting it to be quieter from what other people had told me, so it was kind of a shock. At highway speeds it sounds good, and doesn't drone. But you can hear it at highway speeds which was unlike my flowmaster (referring to 6th @80mph).

I would say it is louder across the board. It could be related to the fact my flowmaster had the pipes angled towards the ground, and the GMMG is straight out the back. I haven't had somebody else drive to listen from outside of the car.

I do enjoy revving the motor now that it sounds this good. I did haven't chance to put together a video this weekend, but I'll try and get some video of it tomorrow.

Shipping parts over here is expensive too, but still alot cheaper than buy them from stores here.. And the customs bill and taxes for importing parts is just ridiculous, 29%!! of the total value..
