Sounds like flowmaster but flow better?

I think I only have a flowmaster muffler(was on the car when I bought it), not the catback because the piping is only 2.75" - like the stock system. And I think the flowmaster is holding me back on power. But I LOVE the sound of it!
I want to upgrade anyway so what kind of catback sounds identical or near to flowmaster but flow better?

I want to stick with a catback, not true duals.

What about GMMG?

The GMMG is a very good catback, but very expensive just like the Borla. Not sure what your budget is like or what you want to spend. A couple cheaper catbacks that flow well and have a nice throaty sound are the Hooker and Edelbrock catbacks.

Thanks! Just listened to some hooker catback sounds and they sounds good, maybe a little low but could be bad recording or something. I know the GMMG is expensive but it is the best sounding i have heard so far.

The GMMG sounds nothing like the Flowmaster though if that is the intent. The GMMG sounds much better in my opinion, but you could throw a flowmaster super 40 on there to get more flow and still retain the flowmaster sound.

GMMG is gonna be expensive to ship to Sweden. Shipping charge was $300 to Canada.

I had the Flowmaster. Have GMMG now. Similar but different. If you like the Flowmaster, you'll love the GMMG. Same deep bottom end. But has more of a lion's roar when you get on it with the GMMG. It's even deeper sounding (if you can imagine it).

If you can afford to do it, go for it. It'll definitely set your car apart from all the other cars with generic exhausts.

i have a flowmaster ai setup that i swaped in a aerochamber. My car is pretty quiet, well it was until i took out the cat. So if your going to be without one than you ll love an aerochamber, but if you got one you prolly want something louder.

I think you'll like the GMMG. Make sure they include any necessary hanging hardware that might be necessary for your car. They forgot mine, which wasn't really a big deal, but I don't live in Sweden.

Yeah, mine didn't come with exhaust hangers either.

Cool

If you like the sound with what you have,Where the exhaust pipe bends over the axle, drill 2 0r 3 holes at the top of the exhaust pipe, this will release a lot of pressure, and you will love the sound. This will weaken the the pipe,so you might have to weld a small metal bar from the pipe,to the body to hold it up.Do the cheap stuff first.Hope this helps.(If you are going to change everything anyway, might give it a try first.)My02.

I think I already have a buyer for my flowmaster so I dont want to mess with it, good idea though...

What is the difference between a 93-95 single cat catback and and a 96-97 dual catback?

Will there be a problem mounting a catback from a 1996 with dual cats on my single catted 1995?
