4" from the Y pipe reducing to 3.5" going back. I got them to put an O2 bung in for my wideband,

I had no clearance at all going over the stock panhard brace with the 4” intermediate pipe. Mine was wedged in tight. And Mufflex installed it.

Re: Looking to quiet it down a bit

David, I got Kooks stepped headers, 3" y pipe to Flowmaster merge then 4" I pipe to single 40 race series choke master. Mine's not loud nor does it have the drone Fred speaks of. Relatively quiet at idle for what it is but the higher up in the rpm the quieter it gets. The weirdest thing. Here's on old vid of it on the dyno with FLP headers and their y pipe but the 4" exh with the single choke master out back.
walk around idle.

And this is it now as I described in the beginning of the post but just an idle vid. I'm just looking for a different sound personally, My buddy has 4" setup with a magnflow and that thing sounds wicked.

Unfortunately sound is subject too recording especially on different devices. Glad you like to sound it produced for you. I'm still on the fence about your muffler LOL That magnaflow still has me. I don't have no clearance issues with 4" either and as you can in my video I'm slammed to the ground.

Silas, I listened to both of the sound clips and I it's just hard to make a comparison, so I don't know what to tell you. I think the Borla has a deeper sound than the Flowmaster, but that's my opinion. Like your car--that is a bad ride! How much boost were you making on that dyno run?

On that pull 14-15lbs. The kicker? ZERO compression on the 7 cylinder and 20-22 on the remaining 7! LMAO 2 months later it let go with under 900 miles. Lifter failed, the cam magnet backed out grinding into the 24xEFI cam sensor housing and sent metal all over the place in addition to the cam walking. It was ugly. Did a compression test because it sounded off but still had plenty of power and that's when I found out. I washed the rings back in Germany of 2007 when I first got it started (literally) and drove 2 hrs to Stuttgart to get it tuned by an F1 tuner. Autobahn at 140mph most of the whole way with AFR's in the 9's and 10's. LOL I didn't know much and didn't think to just transport it. Live and learn...
