How can i remove or where can i remove my cats. My exhaust is too quiet. I have magnaflows turn downs and its too quiet for me. So where can i get my cats taken off?? And would it add more power if i do??

 

Probably get a couple horespower, a lot of people don't like doing it, you need to take it to a mon and pap shop. It's realy hard to find someone to take it off unless its damaged.

 

buy some straight pipe and claps if you dont have access to a welder, measure, cut with a sawzall or a pipe cutting tool, and install pipe. easy.

 

What year is your car, if you have a 96-97, you will have dual cats? Taking the cats out probably won't make a huge difference in power or sound.

 

Some like their cars with no cats, but I personally think it sounds too raspy. If you want it louder, get a higher flowing muffler or a cutout.

 

yea mines a 96. i have a high flow y pipe with magnaflow turndowns. but i know this might sound dumb but where are the mufflers on my car when i just have straight pipes?

 

Hard to tell without a picture. It sounds like the exhaust on your car is custom made.

 

The stock muffler, and many cat-back replacements runs side-to-side behind the rear axle assembly.

Your descriptioin of "a high flow y pipe with magnaflow turndowns" doesn't make much sense. A Y-pipe combines both banks of the exhaust into a single pipe. "Magnaflow turndowns" sounds like a dual exhaust, with a separate muffler for each bank of the engine.

You need to take the time to look under your car and find out what came with the car when you bought it.

And add a "signature".
