I've been reading up as much as possible, but I want to make sure I'm making the best decision for my car. It's stock besides a whisper air lid, I just want to help it breath a bit better and I probably won't be doing anything major to affect the power of the car later so I'm not taking that into consideration when I setup my exhaust. I just don't have the money or the time as a college student to get into it heavily.

My thoughts as of now are:
Hooker Headers 1 3/4" to 3"
Hooker Headers Y-pipe Aluminized: It's got an inlet 3" and outlet 2.75" (do I need a 3" outlet if I want a 3" exhaust?)
I'm not sure what to do about CATs

Feel free to fix it up, I'm just not made of money. I'm also going for a low, deep tone. Also, I need to pass emissions (which is no fun, I know) so I'm not sure how the O2 sensors are going to be put in there and matching all this stuff up so it fits worries me.

 

If you need to pass emissions and retain the stock cats, then you're going to have to find headers that will allow you to keep your stock y-pipe. I thought that if you moved or deleted the cats then you'll fail inspection.

Someone else should probably chime in, as I've never had to deal with emissions. (Live in the middle of bum**** egypt)

 

I'm thinking I'll get some magnaflow 3" bolt on cats. They have a place to put O2 sensors as well, but I've only been able to find them at summitracing.com and only 2.25"
Thunderracing.com doesn't have anything that will support o2 sensors that I saw.
