Wheel bearing!!!

Ok so since i got this car earlier this week, it has had this loud freakin whine when i acceleratefrom the rear. I jacked the car up and spun the rear wheels with my hands and its pretty rough and just doesnt spin smooth. Could this be a problem with the wheel bearings since i dont hear any metal to metal in the diff>?

It isn't unusual for badly worn gears, or poorly set up gears to whine like crazy. Might be a good idea to pull the cover and look them over.

ok well i pulled the cover and didnt discover anything that would seem like a problem. Gears look fine, some metal shavings on the magnet on the cover and that was about it. I checked theoil the other day and it was full. When i pulled the cover off just didnt seem like there was as much oil as i thought there should be. How much should it have btw? Also any other suggestions?

well thought it could of been maybe a siezed caliper clamped down on the rotors, not it still could be u-joint? when i move the driveshaft and the wheels the pinion seems like it has some play in it.

Very hard to diagnose in person, much less over the internet. Have you checked at each wheel and the axle bearings?

well i just took off the rotors and calipers today. I also took off the diff cover and the ring and pinion look like new. I dont really want to take the diff out cuz i dont know how to put it back so i guess next step what axle bearing i presume.
