I talked to Frank @ CPT and he told me a fin and tube transmission cooler would not cool worth a crap and you should really buy a stacked plate transmission cooler for cooling. Just passing along some information that I thought was probly pretty good.

Tru-Cool 4490 is the one we use on all of our high stall F-Bodies. It's the biggest (physically) that will fit in the space in front of the radiator. The measurements are 12"x11"x3/4". This cooler is made by a company named Long. Long also makes B&M coolers. By buying it with the Tru-Cool name, you're getting the same quality as a B&M, but you're getting a cooler twice the size of the B&M for the same dollar.
BTW, there's absolutely nothing wrong with the B&M coolers, either. They're both "stacked plate" coolers.

Definitely the B&M "Hi-Tek". Mount it anywhere, as the fan insures airflow. Very compact but big cooling capacity. I highly reccomend it.

That's the one I have more my 3500 stall. Kinda overkill mabey but it gets pretty hot here. I cant wait to get it on and try it out. I wonder will it fit ok and what other people using it thinks. Ive never seen it on another car.

I guess part of the reason I asked was because I wasn't sure if it was possible to "over cool" the 4L60E. Obviously judging by your answers it must not be.
It would be neat to have three of those Hi-Tek B&M coolers; one for engine oil, tranny AND power steering all at the same time.
