What fluid to use in my M6/10 bolt

I am about ready to install a clutch and Pro 5.0 on my car and am going to replace the tranny fluid. What fluid should I use?? I run Mobil 1 in the motor and was thinking about running their synthetic ATF in the M6 or I might switch over to Royal Purple. Which should I use?? Also, will I need to add anything extra like and additive??

BTW, I am also planning on putting in some 4.10's once I get my yearly bonus, what fluid should I use and what gears should I run???

I've heard several people say not to use synthetic ATF in the tranny because it makes it leak.

GM Synchromesh is the safest way to go for M6. I tried Mobil1 ATF in mine - got too many noises. Currently running Royal Purple Synchromax, and I like it.

I've been running Redline MTL in my 97 M6 for years. No problems with a 383 D1 infront of that.

Doesn't ATF stand for Automatic Transmission Fluid? Why would you put that in an M6?

I'm really asking.

Because that is what the manufacturer of the T56 (Borg-Warner) based their design on, the material specifed for the T56 in the Owner's Manual and factory shop manual, the material specifically labeled on the side of the T56, and the material 99.9% of the T56 users use.
