Transmission info needed, HELP!

I bought a car yesterday, and it drove fine...and it drove great the first 100 mile test drive before I bought it. I smelled something burning a little bit and I'm thinking maybe fluid leaked out. I got home...it was empty on trans fluid...The fluid on dipstick did not smell like it was burning, so I filled fluid back up to proper level and put in Trans-X and it still does the same thing...It shifts from 1st to 2nd great and starts out good...if I have it in OD, It shifts fine until 35 mph and then when it wants to go into gear it free revs from 2000-4000 RPM, and when I have it in 3rd gear *regular drive* itself it free revs all the way up to 5300 RPM. I don't know if running it on empty completley blocked the filter or if I damaged it

Probably needs a rebuild. The experts in the drivetrain forum can probably tell you more.

Sounds like your 3-4 clutches are on their way out.

Yes the 3-4 clutch i bad gonna have to replace or rebuild trans and never put transX in a trans I hate scraping the rubber seals out of the grooves with a pick and it can actually do considerable damage to a new trans build

Could it possibly be that my transmission module or my shift solenoid went?? I don't have any warning lights but I don't think the solenoid would throw off a warning light, how could my car go from shifting great to not at all like that?

Not with those symptons. If you can manage a grand you can get a good rebuild from Frank for $700. After shipping and packaging material probably another $200 both ways including the wood and plastic container. The other $100 would be for stuff like tranny fluid 12-15 qrts and any other little tool/extention you may need to purchase to pull the tranny.

The only thing I left out was a converter. I've got a freshly rebuilt one laying in my garage that's stock. You won't want to run the one you have now because it's fubard due to the tran-x crap unless you pay $200 or so to have someone cut it open and recondition it. My old stock one has lockup and came off my set up 4 years ago. You pay for shipping only if you want it. No need for me to make a buck off of it. Can't realy sell em for anything anyways.

IF you do have the extra cash and want to greatly increase your times a good set of DR and a 3000 stall is an excellent combo on a stock motor. I ran that set up when my car was stock to 1.8 flat 60' times and 8.3 in the 1/8th mi. with a few more bolt ons.
