Transmission fluid leak

I was driving down the road and my car was smoking out the back end because of the fluid getting on the cat.. I already replaced the filter and tranny pan gasket. Its leaking from above my flywheel cover, maybe its the front tranny seal? I need some help on what it may be! Thank you

Re: Transmission fluid leak

Wrong forum. I'll move it to the "Drivetrain" forum.

Additionally, you need to provide basic info about your car - year, model, engine, trans and any major modifications.

Re: Transmission fluid leak

It would be a good guess...Front seal. I had that same problem a few years back, look for a $300+ repair.

Re: Transmission fluid leak

I just took it to a transmission shop and they said they would clean under the car and take a look at it. Im hoping its the the front seal. It drives fine but since I have owned the car it shutters when Im in overdrive and slightly push the pedal down. (just enough to give it some power). I dont know if its a bushing, or even the torque converter? It maybe be something simple. I was going to repaint the car and completely redo the body tomorrow. I cant afford a 400$+ fix right now. Thanks for the help
