So your saying I need to put the cooler in front of my A/C Condenser?
Why can't I put it behind the A/C Condenser attached to the front of the radiator?
Why can't I put it on the back of the radiator in front of the fans?
And how in the hell do I run the lines?
Please help me I have to get this done by next weekend.
I had my transmission rebuilt and it had a pan gasket leak so when we replaced the gasket we noticed that the transmission fluid smelled a little burnt.
Thanks,

Chris G.

In front of the condensor works just fine.

There's no room between the fans and radiator

Most good coolers come with an installation kit that includes all hoses and mounting hardware. The top fitting on the transmission is the return line from the cooler. You want to go from the bottom line...into the stock radiator cooler...out of the stock cooler, into the external cooler...Out of the external cooler, back to the top line of the transmission.

If the fluid is burnt, a cooler isn't going to fix it.

Well if you look at post 5 Mike is telling me that if I put it in front of the condenser that it will hurt my ac on hot days witch is almost every day in Florida.
So you tell me Frank because your the transmission guy I don't want to make my AC hot.
There is 7/8 of an inch in between the radiator and the condenser I think I could put it there but have no idea how to rough the lines.
Thanks,

Chris G.

OK, WHILE FRANK MAY BE A TRANNY GUY I AM A HVAC GUY. AND I WILL TELL YOU THAT YOUR AIR CONDITIONING WILL STILL OPERATE FINE. ITS JUST THAT YOUR CONDENSER WILL JUST HAVE TO WORK A LITTLE HARDER TO RELEASE THE HEAT FROM THE REFRIGERANT. ITS NOTHING TO BE ALARMED ABOUT. BY THE WAY , ARE YOU STILL GOING WITH THAT HUGE COOLER?

Yea because I have no use for it other wise.
I can't see how it would hurt anything.
I still say I could fit it in front of the fans.
I'm going to work on it this weekend.
I'm going to try to fit it there first.
I'm not that crazy about attaching to my AC condenser.
Because if I spring a leak there I have to a lot of crap to deal with because I don't have gauges and a vac yet.
But if the radiator leaks no big deal.
Thanks,

Chris G.
