Lock the converter on the dyno?
Lock the converter on the dyno?
I've been told I should have locked my converter when I went on the dyno a few weeks back. Would that have yielded me much higher numbers?? Is that still considered a legit way to dyno an auto with a stall?
Re: Lock the converter on the dyno?
WOW. Is this normal? When you had those power numbers, was it legit to say you made 330rwhp instead of 280rwhp? Is the 280rwhp a little more accurate for street driving since obviously the converter isnt always locked.
Re: Lock the converter on the dyno?
330rwhp was the actual number. It was a full bolton, stock headed 355 with a 224/230. Locking the converter just puts the drivetrain 1:1 with the motor, it is the actual number.
