trans go shift kit install ??'s

I just installed my shift kit today and I have have a few ?'s. When I installed the kit, I had the tranny out of the car and upside down. I placed the check ***** in the valve body. And then I put the seperator plate over it and held it tight against the valve body and fliped it over, and put it in the trans. Is this ok? could the check ***** have moved? Also I have a 3400 stall, so I did the 3 spacers, because it said thats for race or high stall converters. Is that correct? Thanks for any help

Re: trans go shift kit install ??'s

It should be ok. I would not install 3 spacers in this, as it will make 1-2 very short and somewhat bangy. I never have used more than 1, (0 in most cases) in all of my builds. If you want smooth 1-2 part throttle shifts, and firm WOT shifts, try it without any spacers. If you have not installed it yet, there is more that you can do to this kit, to get more in terms of longevity.

I didn't install it yet, Should I remove the spacers then? What purpose do they serve? Is there any thing else I should do? Thanks
