M6 Problem

Went to the track yesterday and made 10-12 passes, defenetly being hard on my car. On my last pass the should be 3-4 shift became a 3-2 shift and spun the tires a little bit before I put the clutch back in. No over revving or anything. On the way home I noticed I could not shift from 6th to 5th. It will go into 5th from 4th and into 4th from 6th. But it will not go from 6th to 5th. Anyone had this problem before?

Re: M6 Problem

I had a similar issue, it went but it was 3-4 not 5-6.

pulled it out, had it checked. Nothing appeared wrong, had them freshen up the synchros just because it was out, re-alligned everything and installed trans, everything worked fine ever since.

No clue what it was, if anything at all. Maybe synchros?

Re: M6 Problem

Yea thats what I was thinking. But it does into 5th from 4th smoothly. Just not 6th to 5th. At least I don't use that while racing.
