rearend swap

Re: rearend swap
You could spend less if you can fabricated and weld.
Could buy a 8.8 ford rear end, usually 31 splined axles. out of alot of diff cars or trucks. Would have to shorten both sides, and get the axles welded and redrilled for our bolt pattern, and cut all the mounts off and weld all your mounts back on.
its alot of work but could be done.
could also find a 9 bolt rear end out of a 3rd gen, they are stronger then 10 bolts. But if you do that then you will will have to run spacers or modify your inner wheel wells because they have a shorter stance.

Re: rearend swap
I can do the work, and would rather go that route. I was wondering how close an 8.8 would be, cause I know they go in s-10's really easy. Before I start making some serious power, I want the trans and rear as stout as possible. Thanks for the help.
