Question Overdrive engagement problems

Hello, I used to have a 2800 stall, went back to stock, but kept my Transgo shift kit in,no washers, just the springs. Pcmforless reprogrammed my car and redid the shift points--Car is set up to go into overdrive around 55mph, not my idea, but it was done by reprogrammer. The problem is that sometimes the car will not go into overdrive at 55-even when i move at a normal highway speed, not ******* it or anything. When it does that sometimes later it will all of a sudden drop into overdrive--then some days it will go into overdrive no problem. Could i have a torque converter that is having problems locking up or is a sensor acting up? Low fluid-to much?? Any ideas would be appreciated Dwayne
