Re: how streetable would this be
When you say not able to shift, do you mean the OBD1 high stall problem? If so, that may be a possible solution. Unless the kit makes extremely hard shifts, I wouldn't see why it wouldn't be streetable. I use a full manual valve-body (w/transbrake) in my th400 and I cruise it all the time on the weekends.
Re: how streetable would this be
yes....i had the problem last year. bryan from pcmforless was able to get it to shift, but it took alot of going back and forth. last winter i did h/c swap and started off the same as before, but we could never get it to shift. the tranny was rebuilt before the stall, and build up to handle more than what i have for it.
i never did get a check engine light during any runs, but i would have to lift for it grab 2nd

Re: how streetable would this be
The high stall problem should only be on 95 and older cars. Switching to an OBD-II (96+) PCM was one of the solutions to the probelm.
Didn't know TransGo made the manual valvebody kit for 4L60Es. That's all a weak transmission needs, more strain on it.
