Whats up with this stuff? What exactly is it? How does it help you out?

 

It's an overdrive that bolts to the back of the tranny. It's primary use for an F-body would be folks who have installed a TH400 or TH350, which do not have OD. It is quite strong, the downside is cost and weight.
