Question Drive shaft tube o/d

I am going to be getting a new aluminum driveshaft for my 02 M/6 SS. The stock shaft is fine but I need to shorten it so I will just get a new one made with 1350 u-joint's. My question is can I use a larger diameter tube without it interfearing with the stock torque arm and if I can what o/d will fit? I have to decide by sometime tomorrow so any help will be great...

Yea, I'm not sure how big you can go, and it doesn't really matter if you get a good quality shaft.

I'm running a Denny's Nitrous Ready Shaft; guarenteed for life against breakage.

Re: Drive shaft tube o/d

I briefly ran an ACPT heavy duty carbon fiber DS that was 3.80" diameter, and did not interfere with my Spohn TA/DS loop or with my 4" Mufflex intermediate pipe.
