another six-speed question
another six-speed question
there is a faint "clunk" noise from under the car when i row between gears with the clutch pedal pushed in. this only happens when i am slightly rolling at about 3 to 5 mph.
when i am stopped completely, the noise goes away.
it feels like it is having trouble going into gear easily. this is why i posted my other thread about changing tranny fluid.
any help would be appreciated.

Re: another six-speed question
you're saying when you have the clutch in, and keep it in...and go through the gears...you hear the clunk?
i would say that is just the synchros and gears meshing.
now if it was a clunk on every shift...i would say tranny mount, LCA or torque arm mount

Re: another six-speed question
Anyone know what this is? I'm having the same problem. My car has 110k miles on it, so I'd suspect the syncros are wearing out and making more noise and making gears a bit hard to go between, but that doesn't really explain why this noise is only there when I'm moving slowly. Like the original poster, if I'm stopped, there is no noise.
