Hey guys, when cruising, if a 4L60E feels like it goes into neutral when you take your foot off the gas, what might be wrong/broken? Not that you should down shift an auto, but then I do there is not engine breaking, or feeling like you shifted down, just seems like neutral.... everything else works fine.

 

Either the lugs are broken off the over-run hub of the input sprag...or...your over-run clutches are wasted.

Great.. are here are hi performance replacement hub and clutch parts, will be the second time - done with the stock stuff

 

Do you make alot of manual 4-3 down shifts?

nope, don't hammer it and kick it down that much either

 

Only other thing might be that I run the Hypertech shift firmness option, would that contribute?

 

I wouldn't think it would though higher line does make for additional stress overall I wouldn't think it would in that area .
