kurtis,
this car is a bright orange/red color. i say "SS" because the rear wing is the SS type but the hood is a harwood unit. the wheels look to be bogarts, and he/she is running a ~10 inch tire. the license plate is not an actual license plate. just a plate with some airbrush work that reads "Bad ***" with the "SS" in the same script as the "SS" logo.
this was a grudge run night, so i have no idea if this guy is a class racer, street racer, what have you. i wish now that i'd got his name.
i'll be at lvms end of next month. i'll definitely be looking for the guy.

Ktamez- I am DROOLING. That is just sick!! Any pics?!?!
I've been thinking of going that route over the LT4 mani. I dunno. Here come$ the $nowball down the hill again. lol.
BTW, I just got off the phone with Vince. He's doing well and sends his regards. He plans to be out this week, and is looking forward to joining the "big boys".
Seeing as I am looking to build a baby version of his motor, during the conversation, I got some pretty cool info out of him- and thought I'd share.
On Vinces 10.80 pass, he was trying to run a safe tune, because he admittadely lacks some of the experience you guys do with the wheelstands. Anyways- on 18 degrees total, and C23- with his low stall N/A converter- he came away with the 10.80 on a light pass.
In contrast- he says that with 44 degrees total on C12- his friend was able to net a 9.80 @ 151.5 w/ a 1.36 60'. This was the first time they had even got the spray to work, and they were going light with a 28 pill. Apparently, he scraped the bumper on the launch, got out of it to straighten her, scraped the bumper in second, backed out, and finally got on it in 3rd. I can't wait to make it up there to see this. That's a far cry from the runs I saw!! At least now he can hook.
Figured you guys would be interested in that part of our conversation, cause lord knows you guys don't care what I am building. lol. And I don't blame you!
Hopefully he will be back online soon and you guys can peg him with the hard questions.
Have a good weekend and be safe,
Slow Steve

We can only imagine Baxters motor in a hard top light weight, but i think Lt1s are way over due for breaking 8s. I still think these cars have it in it and more than that. This post alone proves it. How ever any 9 sec car is respectable, it takes a lot of work to get a car to run that fast. In my book any thing faster than a 11.00 is a fast car. On a side note, what became of the mad man Lt1 Formula?
