At the rate youve been improving, you will catch him on your NA ET vs. his single stage ET.

Should be interesting in Louisiana!

9 9 second passes I don't even have that many 1/4 mile passes! I only have like 8 1/4's and 10 1/8 hits. Hmmm. Well I ordered a new flewplate and starter. Hmmm, run it again and tune or start the turbo swap. Hmmm. Hmmm. Damn what to do what to do.

Vince ran a high 10 on the motor and a 9.8 on spray last weekend up here, trying to beat the ARE car that ran 8.70 flat (insert foot into mouth here). That supposed N/A 9sec pass last year seemed to have all the nitrous plumbed in that day... Hmmm... Now we just gotta get him in the drivers seat

I don't know if he had ever hooked it up before (Vince had told me last week was the first time he ran N20), but all passes I witnessed had the bottle left at home- including some of the ones I described in previous posts. There wasn't a bottle to be found anywhere. His brackets were empty.

Vince and co. are still trying to get a handle on the car, and it was too dangerous to drive NA. He was certainly not going to go ***** out with a car that didn't work.

BTW- Dave, I was supposed to be at NAMM right now, until some idiot customers made me come in to work.

Talk to you soon!

some quick cars... congrats to you guys.

my question, what are we considering "fastest lt1"? are we talking about just the block with maybe some converted sbc heads or are we talking the whole longblock as originally configured? i can see where that'd get a bit sketchy and can see what j. short is alluding too.

just curious.

i would have guessed that there are a few 8 second cars by now, but it does look like some guys are about there. good luck.

Damn so i "possibly" chased or chasing a n/a record thats was assisted?? ... regardless if i managed to beat the 9.97,9.93 or whatever it was, thats pretty bad if thats the truth..

Since ls1's have a honorary list just so i know for my own self for future reference and please add to this anyone that needs to be noted.. but I'm sure if anyone is shooting for a record they'd like to know what the confirmed record is. I listed a few below some old, some current, but all should be noted that utilized oem block 4th gen Lt1...

confirmed power adder cars:
1.dave dilucia --1st lt1 to blast off a low 9 (carb or not it was a lt1)...9.11

2.brian jeffries --1st suprcharged lt1 in the 9's ... 9.teen

3.goerge B.--overall fastest to date.... 9.04

4.Chris Sikora--fastest active.......9.3's

5.Taner ---fastest 6 speed .....9.6's

confirmed n/a cars:
1. Steve Quinn....10.0's

2. some bench racer from VA. ...9.8's

3. Darren ?..... 10.4's

4. Vince ? ...... ?????????

5. ?

Very impressive numbers from stock suspension cars!

I can hardly wait to get the motor back and into the car! All that is needed now is to make the motor plate and mid plate and then fit the motor in the car. It will be interesting to see what the new chassis will do with LT1?

Should make the number.

Dave- Nah.
I wanted to hang with some of my rep buddies, and party on the strip. But from what I hear- rock star turnout was light, and not a lot of new stuff.

My friends are playing the Kramer Konvention, and I was originally supposed to go with them. (that80shairband.com)

Funny story time: The mother and son came in to buy the other son a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Well, the whole family treated me like dirt, as if they were high rollers. lol.

Even after I told them I was not going to be in town Friday, they still made me come in so they could pick up the vehicle.

Guess what- the son was to drive the jeep home and surpise his brother. He didn't even make it out of the lot!!! He whapped a moving car in our parking lot. HAHAHAHA. Couldn't of happened to a better kid.

I just take it as a sign. Once a month I get off Fri-sun, so I spent this weekend on the T/a. I just want to have some fun, and all you guys make my skin crawl. You know how many racing video's I've been watching lately, to cope? LOL

Take care.

okay.

in any event, last may when we were at LVMS there was a guy in an SS running 8's. first run i saw he clicked off an 8.9 and the second was an 8.8. i didn't get to talk to the guy because we had our hands full as it was but the word from some others is that he was running 18º heads on an lt1 block, nitrous, gm intake and carb. maybe the las vegas f-body guy know who i'm talking about?

don't know if that "qualifies" but that's definitely a fast one.

JB
