I can't drive!!
I can't drive!!
Here's the pertinant info:
1. 22-20psi on a 315mm BFG DR
2. BMR Subs, LCAs, PH
3. Brake torque to 1400 (any more would spin)
4. Burnout was 1-2shift on dry pavement til they smoked.
5. I couldn't best a 1.97
What do I need to do to net me at least somewhere in the 1.8's??
My torque arm is also going on friday.

best et: 8.36
best mph: 85.09
best 60: 1.97
compared to stock slips, I gained almost an entire second, and 8mph. And there is a LOT more in it. The charger is working, but car and driver are not.
Considering my car is nowhere near being setup for an 1/8th mile track, I thought I did ok.
I have to keep reminding myself that I had a lot going against me.
For starters, the car is a pig under 3000. We should have left that original tune in, and waited until I put the EGR back on.
Now it's way too rich.
I was also crossing the line at the middle of 3rd, only making about 2-3 pounds of boost. My gears are to low for the 1/8th. My stock converter is also too loose, as I couldn't stall it any higher than 1400 without spinning. Towards the end of the night, it was all one wheel peels- which contributed to my bad 60's.
So there you have it. I am going up friday to TO to get things tuned, and to have my Torque arm put on.
Considering I have to replace every major component on this car... it's going to be a long road to the 9's.
Later!

Steve couple things which you may already know/not know.
1. Weight is huge. When I ran my best last year of 12.6 at 108. My 60' was 1.85 and my 1/8 time 8.0 at 87ish MPH. But my raceweight was 3725lbs! If it was at my current raceweight of 3500 I would see at least .2 sec and 2mph. Those 11ichers are wide but very heavy. Everything that spins the speed of the motor is equal to 15lbs and tires, rotors, etc are equal to 4lbs compared to 1lb taking out of the car. I bet those things tip the scales over 60#s each. This year my drag tires weigh 38lbs each compared to 50 last year. Theoretically thats almost 100lbs right there on top of the savings inside the car.
2. What was the DA at lancaster yesterday? I erroniously happend to check the weather online and the barometer was 30.2X and the temp 60 something with 6X% humidity. That has a lot to do with it.
3. Again those BFG's are wide but have a very thin side wall. No sidewall to absorb so spin, spin, spin.
4. Practice, Practice, Practice. Before my best I had 21 runs in last year...takes time.
5. I fell and still to a certain degree fall into the "easy 60" trap. 1.6 and sub 60's are hard to get without a very good dialed in susp., huge tires, or a ton of power. Seeing alot of these good 60's make seem easy but as we all know its tuff.
Good luck bro
, just imagine if you had to row the gears yourself.

Yeah, thatll do it. One of mine was oil fouled after the rondeavu in Elmira last week. I changed that out and there was a huge difference in the way the car drove and power, you should see some good gains.
Were suppossed to have a hurricane friday steve!

Were suppossed to have a hurricane friday steve!
I'm going with Steve on Friday. I hope the hurricane doesn't kill us. I took my cold air intake off and I'll put it back on for the dyno. I don't want water to get into the motor if we hit some puddles. Wish us luck!

You can say that again! I can't wait to hit another track. 1/8th sucks, let alone the fact that Lancaster is unprofessional!!!
I want to go on Sunday if NYI is open, doesn anybody know??
