how do you drive your m6?

hey i was just wondering how everyone drives their m6s at the track. the first time (last time) i went to the track i was on 245/55/16 cooper cobra all weather tires and could not pull a 60' better than 2.37 even launching it from an idle. since then ive yanked the front swaybar, added a 4.10 and thrown some used Nitto DRs on the rear. how do you guys get out of the hole? do you powershift, and does it make much of a difference ET wise? on drag radials do yall dump it or leave from an idle? just wondering what everybody does so i can hopefully improve my short times

I still have the stock 3.42 in my car....I run nitto drag radials at the track. I usually rev the engine up to about 4k, and then just feather the clutch out until I feel that the tires have grabbed enough pavement and I am going fast enough to completely take my foot off the clutch and just give the car hell from there on. Also, I power shift the hell out of my car. Powershifting all 3 shifts in my case, probably 4 shifts in your w/the 4.10's will probably pick you up about a .10 in your ET. I usually cut a 1.9 60' and last night I ran 12.86 with an intake/exhaust LS1. The best possible thing you can to do w/your car in terms of launching it and driving it at the track is just get REALLY use to it, and then it becomes 2nd nature. Its gotten to the point that I generally run within a couple thousandths of the same times at every point on the run...i.e. 60', 1/8, 1/4, mph, etc... Take your car out to a backroad somewhere and practice launching it over and over again, thats probably the best thing you can do for it.

I rev it up to about 3000rpm, slip the clutch and floor it gradually. I take about 1.5 to 2 seconds to completely let out the clutch and floor it, depends on track and tire conditions. I usually get 1.8x 60fts on drag radials and 2.0x on crappy kumho tires. I speed shift on street tires and powershift with drag radials

I arm the nitrous, rev to 5000 rpm, and just dump the clutch

that seems to work pretty good for me u guys should try it too

fineprint: results may vary if u arent running 28x10.5 ET drags

Where is my money Reuter! You never got the opti to us after three weeks (supposed to have been here in three days).

Doesn't get here after a week and a half, we posted, you said it was a mistake, we gave you the benefit of the doubt and waited another week and a half. No opti still so we had to buy another one.

You said you would send the check back, we said send it, and now YOU CASHED OUR CHECK?!?! What is going on?!?! Paypal the money back to madelisle@yahoo.com today if you are an honest man.
